Account Deletion
Delete your Suroda account.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
In-App Deletion
You can delete your Suroda account in the app by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. The app will ask you to confirm the request and re-authenticate before deletion is started.
Email Fallback
You may also request account deletion by emailing hello@suroda.com from the email address associated with your account. We will ask for information needed to verify the request before acting on it.
What Is Deleted
Verified account deletion permanently removes your identity data, your tenant data, all media not tied to a confirmed event, and the evidence record's link to you.
Your account data is removed from live systems immediately. Backups of tenant account and dashboard data cycle out within 14 days, after which the data is not recoverable. Source media is not held in backups.
What Is Retained
When your account has detected and confirmed an event, Suroda retains a copy of the source recording behind that event, under the license you grant in our Terms of Service. Before retention, all account, tenant, device, and location metadata is permanently removed from that file, and it is disassociated from any account identifier. After deletion, Suroda holds no record linking that file to you or your account.
Payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Where data is held by the service providers that operate our platform, our deletion process extends to those systems. Retention required by law (for example, a legal hold) is described in our Privacy Policy.
Timing
Once a deletion request is verified, deletion is executed immediately. Your identity data, tenant data, and media are removed from live systems at that time — there is no recovery window and no grace period. Backups of tenant account and dashboard data then age out over 14 days, as described above.
Separately, and without any request from you, source media not tied to a detected event is automatically deleted 3 days after processing, and the associated processing and filename metadata is automatically deleted within 7 days of processing.
See our Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule.
